Description

The current owner of Reis Creek Wines is Jim Jin. Jim Jin arrived in south Australia as an Oenology master student of University of Adelaide in 2008. After 2 years of studying, he made a strong connection with this land and decided to make his own wines here. In 2009, Jim created Reis Creek Wines and started to make wines which were aimed to find the equilibrium of taste to cater for both Australian local market and the Chinese Market. After 2 years oak barrel storage, the well-balanced wines were released to the market in 2011 and were sold out within one month, which brought lots of honour to Reis Creek Wines.

Furthermore, the wines made in 2010 were also sold out before the bottling in 2012. Since then, Jim decided to have his own vineyard in order to establish the consistency of the quality grapes, and finally he bought a 160 acres vineyard in Barossa valley from Leo Pech. By successful acquisition of the vineyard, Jim made two iconic wines, Limited Release Barossa Valley Shiraz and The Chairman Shiraz. Both wines received very positive feedback. With the courage, Reis Creek Wines opened a cellar door in 2017 in Lyndoch. Reis Creek Wines not only focus on oversea market but also aims at Australian local market.

Our next milestones will be driven by producing high-end quality wines. Reis Creek Wines will continue making series of high-quality wines which can combine the taste for both Australian market and the Asian market.
