(ENG) This blend of 80% Cabernet and 20% Malbec is a regional classic – the Malbec lends floral notes of violets and rose petals to the wine and moderates the more pronounced, drying Cabernet tannins.
The full-bodied palate shows hints of chocolate, blackberries and a touch of mint. Tightly structured, time will see this wine open up and become a velvety wonder.
Enjoy now with roasted lamb, rosemary and minted peas.
In the glass: Deep red purple
On the nose: Aromatic lift of violet and mint over curranty black fruits.
On the palate: Rich and decadent with stacks of spicy plum and blackcurrant fruit power. A lovely minty freshness throughout, youthful, yet fine tannins and well-judged savoury oak(18 months in French Oak).
